Plum cake (Fruit Cake)

Plumcake Recipe

  • 1 cup (170 g)  all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (dutched/dark)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 pinches salt (optional)
  • 1 cup (220 g) sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup  Unsalted Butter (flavorless)
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Roasted Cashews 
  • 1 cup Tutti Frutti 
  • 1 Tsp Rum

Direction Of Plum Cake Recipe (Indian Style):- 

  • Soak tutti frutti in rum for a day or overnight. 
  • Preheat oven to 450 C
  • Grease a 9 inch (23 cm) cake tin.
  • Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt in a Bowl keep it aside
  • Melt Butter add sugar mix well then beat eggs with Electric hand mixer or with hand.
  • Mix everything together until smooth, either by hand or by using an electric mixer at slow speed. If the batter is too runny you may add slightly more flour.
  • Add Roasted Cashews, soaked tutti frutti mix in cake batter. 
  • Transfer to bake tin (Before baking cake decorate with cashew)and bake at 450 degrees until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, approximately 35 to 45 minutes.
  • Cool it and serve it yummy plum cake is ready.
